EVC Training - The Coaching Pathway
Multiple dates and times
Online, Zoom
Description
The EVC Coaching Pathway combines our full EVC training course with small group coaching and mentoring, giving new EVCs additional time and support to understand their role and responsibilities. Learners benefit from consolidation time between the sessions and full support whilst implementing the strategies introduced during the course.
What does the course cover?
The course outlines the roles and responsibilities of an EVC, as well as good practice in risk management, effective supervision and key considerations in planning an educational visit.
The course provides training, development and support to inexperienced EVCs enabling them to develop confidence in the EVC role.
This course does not replace the need for an Educational Visits Adviser and will not provide advice and guidance. If you are looking for standard EVC Training click here.
The EVC Coaching Pathway is delivered by The EVC Coach, Emma, in partnership with EVOLVE Advice.
Delivery Method
With this unique approach to EVC training, learners will cover the core content of the EVC training in small group sessions delivered live online via zoom. Between each session there will be home learning tasks, directly related to the EVC role, with optional drop-in and mentoring sessions with an experienced Educational Visit Adviser. Learners have unlimited access to mentoring support for the duration of the course (this is support related to the training, not educational visits advice).
Learners must complete and attend all parts of the course to achieve EVC certification. The EVC Coaching Pathway is delivered in three phases over 4 weeks.
- pre-session reading and tasks. Total 3 hours (1 hour per week)
